They are FINALLY here...I hope you like what you see! Along with last years card collection, there are several new card designs to choose from this year. If you like one you see from last year, no worries...all I have to do is change the year! Like a certain card, but it's not the color scheme you're looking for?..while the layout of each card must remain the same, I can change the design/color of any card to meet your needs! Just let me know and we can customize one that works for you!

I realize it's already the first week of December and you are anxious to get your cards in the mail! As soon as you decide on a design let me know so I can place your order. Once I place your order, I usually have it back within 1-2 days!!!

Casting Call: Class of 2011 Seniors

Hard to believe, but it's almost that time for Senior pictures!!! I still remember my experience and it was awful....everything from the posing to the props was all wrong! None of the pictures seemed to capture my personality...we ordered the pictures anyway because after all they were my SENIOR PICTURES! Thankfully, there are more options for today's seniors...most still have to have the dreaded senior school pictures for the yearbook, but are opting to use a different photographer to take their "senior pictures!"

I tell my clients to wear clothing that is true to their personality and choose a location that reflects who they are and allows them to be themselves!! One of my seniors from last year chose to do her pictures in the fields behind her house where she grew up and spent countless hours...she told me "this is where I feel most comfortable and I couldn't imagine a better place than here!" I LOVE THAT and you could see she felt "right at home"

I am currently looking for 4 Class of 2011 seniors to do a photo shoot in the Spring. To those chosen, I will be offering a free gift and discount on their picture order! So, If you are interested or know someone who would be, contact me ASAP and we can discuss the details!

I hope everyone is off to a great start in this new year! It hasn't officially been a whole year since I started this business, but 2009 was such a dream come true for me! I never imaged that Wright Image Photography would be so successful so soon and for that I am EXTREMELY thankful! I've had some of the best clients anyone could hope for and I look forward to seeing each of you this year and also hope to meet lots of new people!

I have lots of exciting things planned for 2010 including a couple photo contests, the addition of some new products, new locations and whatever else comes to mind at 3in the morning when I can't sleep because the wheels won't quit turning! LOL So stay tuned for all that is to come....

Giving back...what a blessing!

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to share this news with everyone...but I'm going to try!! When I began this new journey into photography less than a year ago, I had so many goals I wanted to accomplish and dreams to fulfill...the biggest dream was to be able to GIVE BACK! To whom or what you might ask?...That would be the UAMS NICU and ALL the wonderful staff who took care of my son Grant for the first 1.5 months of his life! Also, to somehow be able to give HOPE to those parents and family members who are dealing with the roller coaster of emotions that goes along with having a premature baby. That being said, about a month ago I made a phone call and after being transferred from one person to another, I finally spoke with the representative over the March Of Dimes program at UAMS. I simply told her our story with Grant and expressed to her that I would love nothing more than to volunteer my time as a photographer and assist the March of Dimes program in any way possible. She was very interested, but told me there was another photographer that had already been part of the program for some time and she would need to talk to her first...basically letting her know I wasn't trying to move in on her territory! LOL I waited all of TWO days and got the phone call I was hoping for...the other photographer was so excited about the possibility of us working together, she too is a mom of a child that spent a couple months in the NICU! At the end of this month, her and I will be teaming up for our first project...taking pictures of the babies in the NICU and putting them in snow globes to give to the parents! I will be volunteering my time once a month taking pictures of the babies in the NICU and will also be involved in special projects that take place throughout the year! The March of Dimes program at UAMS launched just a couple months after Grant was released so we missed out on all the amazing things they have to offer the families dealing with prematurity...they are all about getting the parents involved and helping them in any way possible! I am SO HAPPY and honored to be a part of such a wonderful program and to be able to do my part in GIVING BACK! For me, the journey from the day Grant was born, to the months in the NICU and now the opportunity for me to take part in this program really shows that we have come FULL CIRCLE...we are so blessed to have our "miracle man" in our lives...did I mention how EXCITED I AM!?!?!?

I LOVE this time of year and Fall is definitely in full swing...college football (GO HOGS!), brisk morning air, changing leaves and FALL FAMILY PORTRAITS! I will be doing my last session of the year the weekend of Nov. 28th so I can take some time to enjoy the holiday season with my family! Fall Mini Session!!!

I am SO excited to announce that I will be holding my first mini session in October! The holidays are just around the corner and if you are looking for a quick and easy way to update your family photo albums, get adorable pictures of the kiddos in their halloween costumes or just get some new photos for your holiday cards, then a mini session is for you. What is a mini-session, you ask? A mini-session is a scaled down version of a full blown photo shoot. The sessions will take place on Sat. October 17th...I will be announcing the information about the location soon!

* Each session will last 30 minutes
* There will be up to 20 proofs for you to view in a password protected gallery
* A $50 deposit is due 1 week before the session to hold your spot. If this is not received, the spot will become available.

A dream come true!

First of all, I have to thank my friends and family for your wonderful support! Without your encouragement and a little nudging at times, this dream of mine would not be coming true! I am loving every minute of this journey and I know that photography is part of me and what I'm supposed to be doing! It has allowed me to achieve two very important dreams of mine simultaneously...being a mother and becoming a photographer. I never imagined when I started Wright Image Photography that I would have my own website 6 months later...in fact I wasn't sure if I would ever need one! I have already photographed many wonderful people and families and truly feel like I'm forming a long-lasting relationship with each of them! The response has been great and Wright Image Photography is growing...what more could I ask for?!?!
I must mention my wonderful husband...he has been SO supportive of me through the process of creating this new website. There have been MANY nights he has left me sitting at the computer so I could work on the website and has helped out with the kids, cooking and whatever else needed to be done! Thanks honey!

Miss R - Senior photo session

This was my first senior session and it couldn't have gone any better! Miss R wanted her session to be personal and meaningful...what better place to take pictures than in your own back yard where you have grown up and spent so much time!?! We had a fun time taking pictures in her favorite spots on their beautiful land and even kicked off our shoes and rolled up our pants to get some great shots in the spring. Thank you for such a great session and allowing me to capture such an important time in your life...it was such a pleasure!

Calling all Seniors!

It's that time again and you are headed back to school...I know it seems like graduation day will NEVER get here, but it will be here before you know it! So, if you are a senior or happen to know one, you don't want to miss this!!!
Any senior who schedules a photo session with me in the month of August will receive a 15% discount on their print order AND a complimentary 8X10 of your choice photo from your session! The session MUST be booked on or before August 31st and MUST take place before September 30th in order to receive this offer. As always, the non-refundable session fee of $50 is due at the time of booking your session.

In case you are wondering, these are not your typical cap and gown or "let's pose you on a motorcycle" (happened to me my senior year..nothing wrong with them, just very random since I knew nothing about them and had never been on one!) pictures! I want your session to be about YOU...at a location of YOUR choice and wearing clothes that reflect YOUR style, whatever it may be. The session will be 1-2 hours at a location of your choice (additional pricing may apply to areas outside a 30 mile radius) and will allow for up to 2-3 outfit changes.

The E Family-Family Session

This is such a BEAUTIFUL family...don't u agree?!?! Meredith is my BFF ane we have known eachother since 6th grade...she's basically the sister I never had! It's been so neat to watch our children grow up and become great friends...just like us. They have 2 boys...Mr. G who turns 5 this week and little brother, "T" (as we sometimes call him) who just turned two! These boys are FULL of energy...we had a great time running around the yard taking pictures and they were both armed with some serious posing skills! ha! Thanks E Family for inviting me to your new home and allowing me to capture your beautiful family!
It was difficult for me to choose which pictures to post...so there are LOTS!

Baby D-Newborn Session

This little cutie is the newest addition to some very dear friends of ours. There is nothing like the look, smell, touch or sounds of a newborn....absolutely precious! Baby D was wide awake for most of our session (he knew I was there!), but finally drifted off so we could capture some really sweet sleepy shots. Mr. L, big brother, has been anticipating his brother's arrival and you can tell he just loves him to pieces! M family, we are so happy for you and I'm so glad I was able to document this special time in your lives!

We had stopped to take a little break and all of the sudden he started lifting his head up...he wasn't even 2 weeks old yet! Amazing! I grabbed my camera as fast as I could...resulting in a cute but blurry picture. LOVE the little bird mouth!

Baby D - 3 month session

I met up with baby D and his family (I went to high school with his mommy) at Garven Gardens and let me say this little guy did GREAT considering the session took place outdoors in the crazy heat (even at 9:30 in the morning it was HOT!). He just stared and took in all the beautiful scenery. Miss A, his big sister, was quite the little model and enjoyed showing me a few of her best poses. It was so sweet watching her interact with her baby brother...you can tell she is smitten by him. Thanks D Family for allowing me to capture this special time in your lives...I look forward to many more sessions!

New packages, products and specials....

There are some exciting changes on the way at Wright Image Photography!!! In the next couple weeks, I will be adding a larger variety of print packages to choose from...my goal is to have packages available to suit everyones budget!

I will also be adding a selection of new products to include...announcements, greeting cards, canvas prints, gallery wraps and much much more!

And Last, I will be running a special for Seniors! I know graduation is a ways off, but it's never to early for pictures! This is a HUGE time in their lives and I would love nothing more than to capture those special moments for the parents, grandparents and friends before their loved ones head off to college next year! I will be selecting 4 upcoming seniors (2 girls, 2 guys) to model for me and they will recieve a discount on their print order!!! Be sure to add me to your "favorites" and watch for my "seniors" post at the end of this month for more information....

Baby L-3 month session

I had such a great time getting to know this family and capturing baby L's sweet personality! As you can see, he is one happy and well loved little boy. This session was done at Garven Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs and also happens to be where little L's parents were married...very neat, I think! W family, thanks for braving the heat with me and allowing me to document this special time in your lives! I look forward to our future sessions and watching your little boy grow!

I FINALLY found something for the kids to wear for Easter yesterday! As soon as we got home I didn't waist anytime getting them dressed up and we headed over to this field of beautiful yellow flowers by our house...From the road, there appeared to be thousands but as we got closer that wasn't the case! Figures! I still got a few good shots and love how bright and cheerful they turned out!

I fell in love with photography soon after my daughter was born. A new baby brings so much joy and inspiration into life and I became so drawn to capturing that "perfect moment" in pictures! Like the saying goes,"A picture is worth 1000 words" and that is SO true! I have received so many encouraging comments over time and FINALLY decided to take the plunge into photography as a profession and not just a hobby. I must admit, it's a little scary at this point, but I am SO excited and can't wait to begin this journey! So, this is my first official post and I thought I would share a few recent pictures of my little ones with you!
